Dear stakeholders and partners,

I am pleased to welcome to all our stakeholders, partners and viewers to our LCDA website.

Land Custody and Development Authority (LCDA) was established in 1981 under LCDA Ordinance, 1981 with the major role of facilitating faster socio-economic transformation of the state through private sector partnership in land development. Under the Ordinance, LCDA was given authority to formulate and carry out in any area which has been declared to be a LCDA Development Area under Section 11 projects and schemes for development, redevelopment, settlement and resettlement of land, economic and social development, residential, commercial, agricultural and industrial development in Sarawak.

LCDA's involvement in agriculture and land development in Sarawak was a significant milestone, with business interests in real estate development, oil palm plantation, food industry and modern agriculture. In an effort to make LCDA more focused and competitive, the restructuring exercise was recently undertaken to optimize LCDA's capabilities and effectiveness. Two (2) new companies were established, namely LCDA Real Estate Sdn. Bhd. (LRESB) and LCDA Agri Business Sdn. Bhd. (LABSB). Pelita Holdings Sdn. Bhd. (PHSB), which was previously a main business arm for LCDA, has been renamed as LCDA Holdings Sdn. Bhd.

To date, LCDA through LABSB is involved in managing a total of 149 agricultural projects which compromising of oil palm plantation, sago, rubber, food production and salvage logging. It involves a gross development area of 819,704 hectares throughout Sarawak. Currently, LCDA through LRESB is implementing 27 property development projects which compromising 19 Socio-Economic projects and 8 projects sharing.
