2020 is a promising year for a highly competent performance in which the Land Custody and Development Authority (LCDA) is seen as a state-owned statutory body that oversees land development in Sarawak.
Established in June 1981, LCDA set in its vision of becoming Sarawak's leading state development agency, and at its best ensuring all development programs and event to be executed as agreed strategy approved by the Board. The orgranization is spearheaded by an esteemed and vastly experienced management team.
In January 1995, Pelita Holdings Sdn. Bhd. (PHSB) has been established as a commercial arm and managing agent for LCDA. For the upcoming year, LCDA has been instructed by the State Government to develop the Native Customary Rights Lands and overseeing salvage logging activities. As one of Sarawak's driving force for economic progress and development, it also focus on the management of various commercial investment in both urban and rural areas.
In coping with the vast changing of corporate global complexity, Land Custody and Development Authority (LCDA) has undergone group restructuring exercise in November 2019 with its primary objective to be more focused as to achieve greater efficiency and improve oversight on its business.
With this, two new companies have been incorporated namely LCDA Agric Business Sdn. Bhd. (LABSB) and LCDA Real Estate Sdn. Bhd. (LRESB). Whereas Pelita Holdings Sdn. Bhd. (PHSB) to be renamed as LCDA Holdings Sdn. Bhd. (LHSB) and taking the role of corporate services provider to the Group.
Looking back over 39 years, LCDA has been recognized as a significant contributor to Sarawak's economic development as the catalyst change. At a glance, it prides itself in creating value and focus on corporate culture change as part of improvement to its work efficiency while maintaining its purpose in customer-focused and business-oriented in order to cater to its core business activities which include Urban and Property Development, Plantation Development, Rural Growth Centre and in its social project.
This spear heading is vital in gearing towards the success of livable and sustainable economic development and wealth for the state and its people well-being.
